Reservations Now Available at Scout Living – the New Hospitality Living Concept at Atlanta’s Ponce City Market

New Flexible-Stay, Fully Furnished Living Accommodations Merge Home with Fine-tuned, Flexible & Frictionless Hospitality

ATLANTA, GA [July 22, 2024] Guests can now book reservations for a new hospitality living concept, Scout Living, at Atlanta’s Ponce City Market. Featuring 405 one- and two-bedroom fully furnished and serviced living units, Scout Living will welcome guests for flexible lengths of stay – from a single night to a week, a month, or longer, starting in September. Scout Living at Ponce City Market will be powered by Placemakr, a leading flex-living operator which optimizes both apartment and hospitality uses for their partners. Their proprietary tech stack will enable seamless flexible-living operations and a best-in-class customer experience.

The Concept

Scout Living was created for a new generation of consumers who want greater flexibility in how they live, work, and travel. The concept is envisioned to provide the comfort and community of home with hospitality-style services and amenities, providing a fully furnished and serviced living experience for flexible lengths of stay—from a single night up to a year and everything in between. Future iterations of the hospitality concept are intended to open across Jamestown’s global portfolio.

“Scout Living is a perfect homebase for a connected experience in the heart of Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward," said Michael Phillips, President of Jamestown. "Being located at Ponce City Market will provide guests with a lively and fully activated flexible living experience that will seamlessly integrate guests with dining, shopping, and insider opportunities. Whether you’re staying for a few nights or several months, Scout provides the comforts and conveniences of home to anyone visiting Atlanta."

The Living Accommodations

The unique one- and two-bedroom living units will feature functional minimalism with galley kitchens and separate living and sleeping spaces for a comfortable, at-home feel. Each fully-furnished unit will offer a kitchen stocked with cooking essentials, a dishwasher, and a washer-dryer combo. Art will add warmth to hallways and common areas.

Scout Living will provide access to food delivery, services, and goods at the touch of a button, as well as private Wi-Fi networks, which will reach throughout the building. Guests will be able to request laundry and dry-cleaning services, restocking of necessities for longer stays, housekeeping, and more.

The Experience

Scout Living will offer flexible, relaxed on-site community living that will encourage guests to get comfortable and make their stay their own. The experience is designed for ease and will provide a fine-tuned and frictionless stay, where hands-off hospitality provides guests with flexibility through virtual check-in anytime, keyless locks, and 24/7 access to building and tech support. The rooftop will welcome guests to a sleek pool, wellness studio, terrace, reservable entertaining spaces, and a residential-style chef’s kitchen—all with expansive views of the city.

The second floor will be a place for guests to work, delivering everything guests need to focus, or come together in lounge, meeting, and event spaces. The space will be open daily and available for bookings for meetings, screenings, corporate offsites, specialty workspaces, private dinners, and special events. For corporate stays and event bookings, please contact [email protected].

The Scout Living event team will offer real, unfussy hospitality and help prearrange details for onsite events, including arranging shuttle service to and from the airport, curating and customizing a run of show, coordinating private chef experiences, and other special requests. Podiums, microphones, and meeting technology and equipment packages will also be available.

The Location

Integrated into the Ponce City Market experience, Scout Living guests will have next door access to the Atlanta Beltline and surrounding Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. The building itself will feature 12,000 square feet of retail with 21-foot ceilings on the ground floor, occupied by a food and beverage concept and convenience shopping for grab-and-go items. A courtyard common area will provide walkable connectivity between the historic Ponce building, Scout Living, and the Beltline. Steps away, guests can also visit modern medical providers One Medical and Tend Dental, and fitness studios CorePower Yoga, and Forum Athletic Club—all at Ponce City Market.

Scout Living is part of Ponce City Market’s second phase, which also includes 619 Ponce, a four-story mass timber loft office building that debuted in April 2024, and Signal House, a new residential building designed for a sophisticated urban community and lifestyle with anticipatory services, active amenities, and guided digital experiences to make every day seamless and unhurried.

The new development intends to generate greater community connectivity and encourage micro-mobility throughout the neighborhood. Micro-mobility features will include onsite bike and scooter parking, designated rideshare drop-off sites, electric bike and carshare programs, and electric car charging stations. All three new buildings are targeting net neutral operational carbon, LEEDv4 Core & Shell certification, and Fitwel certification (already achieved by Signal House). The new development is also targeting all-electric operations and efficient building systems to reduce emissions to achieve net zero carbon operations. More information about the next phase is available here.

Ponce City Market first opened its doors in 2015 and has since been credited as a catalyst for revitalizing Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. It has become a must-visit place on travelers’ Atlanta bucket lists, a beacon in Atlanta’s skyline, and a destination for locals to gather, shop, eat, and live.

“Scout Living represents a first-of-its-kind development in the U.S. and we couldn’t be more excited to partner with Jamestown on it,” said Jason Fudin, CEO and Co-founder of Placemakr. “Since Placemakr’s founding seven years ago, we have been working toward a world where truly flexible buildings are purpose-designed and built from the ground up. We are excited to show the real estate world what this modern, tech-enabled asset can do for consumers and investors alike. This is the start of something special, and we think it will be a model for a brand-new institutional asset class.”
